THE RIGHT TURN TO KINDNESS, KEONNA, A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH


It was a very hot day on June 25, 2013 and I, Sony Roy wanted to make a phone call from my cell phone all to realize that my cellphone ran out of charge. Since i was close to RED ROOF INN, of course I visited their office to see if they had a way for me to charge my phone. Upon my arrival I met what I didn't bargain for I MADE THE TURN TO KINDNESS. I met Keonna, a simple lady at the front desk but a lady with a big heart. The first thing I heard her say was: if you have your charger take a seat while your phone is being charged and cool off somewhat or something to that nature. That turn my blood pressure down for it could have been totally different. Then, what followed were random acts of kindness from a benevolent heart and while it was not in my agenda to stay at RED ROOF INN, Keonna turned the place into a monument by her kindness. There are many Keonnas out there and I would love to say to you, open up and be kind to someone like Keonna did. You win for being kind for nothing in return. Because of Keonna although I left the Hotel since I had misplaced my cellphone charger, I made my way back to admire her gift of gentleness again. Keonna sparkled RED ROOF with her sincerity and her focus on hospitality that I was obligated to ask her how much a room costs if I wanted to stay for one night. By the way, she was the same way with everyone that came in. I would love to send a shout out to her superiors and let them know that they are walking on a diamond in the rough. You see, people, kindness is the strongest marketing approach. Be not forgetful to be kind to a stranger you don't know. That is what Keonna did, she did not know me and yet, her focus was to exercise great hospitality and for this I am grateful for people like Keonna. Keonna, if you are reading this, it's for you
this is for you, when you red this blog, Take this note of encouragement from me. Move forward, step upward, and stay focused on your goal, backward never, forward ever. Continue to do your job so well that the dead of the unborn cannot do it any better.
